The President of Iran allowed changes to the Constitution to quell mass protests

Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi allowed the possibility of making changes to some articles of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic, which was adopted in 1979.

RBK-Ukraine reports this with reference to the Al Hadath TV channel.

< p>As evidenced by the channel, this statement of Raisi was made against the background of continuous protests in Iranian cities, which have been going on for two and a half months in a row.

“Iran's constitution is drafted in such a way that it provides for a way out in the event of a deadlock. Therefore, flexible methods can be used in the implementation of its provisions,” the president emphasized, speaking on the occasion of Iran's Constitution Day.
