The pace of hostilities in Ukraine will be reduced in the coming months.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of the Director of National Intelligence of the USA, Euryl Haynes, at the annual National Defense Forum in California.
< p>She noted that the intelligence already sees a decrease in the pace of fighting, but does not see a decrease in the “will of the Ukrainian resistance forces”. /p>
Haines added that the question is what the situation will be like on the front after the winter period ends.
She said that the Ukrainian and Russian militaries will try to re-equip and resupply in preparation for a counteroffensive after winter, but there was a question of what it would look like.
“Actually, we have enough skepticism about whether the Russians will actually be willing to do it. I think the Ukrainians are more optimistic at this time,” Haynes said.
She also said that the United States has not yet seen from the outside China provides military aid to Russia, but Beijing supports Moscow by other means.
“China continues to play both sides. That is, they continue to work with Russia on a number of issues, continue contacts, find an opportunity to support Russia on international platforms, help them somehow cope, provide support in various forms,” she said.
