Rushim
Footnotes
24 Next, Yeshua left that district and went off to the vicinity of Tzor and Tzidon. There he found a house to stay in and wanted to remain unrecognized, but keeping hidden proved impossible. 25 Instead, a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit in her came to him and fell down at his feet. 26 The woman was a Greek, by birth a Syro-phoenician, and she begged him to drive the demon out of her daughter. 27 He said, “Let the children be fed first, for it is not right to take the children’s food and toss it to their pet dogs.” 28 She answered him, “That is true, sir; but even the dogs under the table eat the children’s leftovers.” 29 Then he said to her, “For such an answer you may go on home; the demon has left your daughter.” 30 She went back home and found the child lying on the couch, the demon gone.
[Side note — this defense could easily be applied to all 7 groups though it isn’t, and the dafyomi site inserts «for these are praiseworthy)»] The Yerushalmi Berachot, chapt 9 halacha 5 says that «none is as beloved to [God] as the Parush due to love, like Abraham.» This would indicate that there is one positive group of perushim and all the rest are negative. I know that the word Perushi is used to apply to different groups in different contexts, but does the Bavli ever associate the Perushim with the Rabbinic/Oral Law adherents that other texts call Pharisees and which are a positive group, or does the gemara consider the Perushim just an ascetic group that is worthy of being condemned? Though they are sometimes characterized as ones strict in adherence to the law (Shabbat 13a) this is not praising their intentions, just observable behavior. There is a reference in Vayikra Rabbah that equates Perushim with Kedoshim but the gemara doesn’t make that connection. According to the Bavli, are there only 7 types of Perushim (all bad and distinct from the Jews who are admirable) or are there just 7 types of improper ones implying an entire population of «good ones» which would be the «Pharisees» that other texts have connected with modern day Judaism, not included in these 7 groups? I note a Sadducee tag but no Pharisee tag.
5 The talmidim, in crossing to the other side of the lake, had forgotten to bring any bread. 6 So when Yeshua said to them, “Watch out! Guard yourselves against the hametz of the P’rushim and Tz’dukim,” 7 they thought he said it because they hadn’t brought bread. 8 But Yeshua, aware of this, said, “Such little trust you have! Why are you talking with each other about not having bread? 9 Don’t you understand yet? Don’t you remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you filled? 10 Or the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many baskets you filled? 11 How can you possibly think I was talking to you about bread? Guard yourselves from the hametz of the P’rushim and Tz’dukim!” 12 Then they understood — they were to guard themselves not from yeast for bread but from the teaching of the P’rushim and Tz’dukim.
The Agreement was signed by the project shareholder and initiator Mr. Vitaly Yuzhilin, Minister of Development of the Russian Far East Mr. Alexey Chekunov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprombank Board Mr. Alexey Belous, Deputy Chairman and Board Director of VEB.RF Mr. Artyom Dovlatov, and Senior Vice-president of VTB Mr. Vitaly Sergeichuk.
(Abaye and Rava): From love and fear (of reward or punishment) should not be taught (for these are praiseworthy)! 1.(Rav Yehudah): One should always engage in Torah and Mitzvos, even Lo Lishmah (with ulterior motives), for this will lead him to do them Lishmah (to become close to Hash-m).
“Development of the Russian Arctic Zone is one of the top priorities of the Russian Federation. The project implemented by RusHim Group enables not only to commence development of the gas-condensate fields in the Arctic that have been held in reserve for more than 40 years, but establish the deep-water Indiga Seaport. An important aspect of the project is that it is focused on a high-performance natural gas processing methods and enhancement of non-resource and non-energy-based product exports. Additionally, the Nenets Autonomous Area will receive a substantial number of new jobs including vacancies for highly qualified specialists. Implementation of such a large-scale, complex and important project would be difficult without the support of the financial institutions and the state. In this regard, we would like to thank the syndicate participants for their active interest and work on the project. Also, we are grateful to the Ministry for Development of the Russian Far East for ensuring a favorable investment environment to facilitate implementation of complex and important projects in our Arctic Zone”.

14 Then Yeshua called the people to him again and said, “Listen to me, all of you, and understand this! 15 There is nothing outside a person which, by going into him, can make him unclean. Rather, it is the things that come out of a person which make a person unclean!” 16 [d]
But the website inserts the word «improper» into this — according to the text, there simply are 7 types of Perushim and all 7 are bad. Later there is a defense of 2 of the types, but the defense (mitoch shelo lishma, ba lishma) doesn’t mitigate the fact that all 7 groups, which might constitute the entire perushi population, don’t act in a desirable way:
16 Then some P’rushim and Tz’dukim came to trap Yeshua by asking him to show them a miraculous sign from Heaven. 2 But his response was, “When it is evening, you say, ‘Fair weather ahead,’ because the sky is red; 3 and in the morning you say, ‘Storm today!’ because the sky is red and overcast. You know how to read the appearance of the sky, but you can’t read the signs of the times! 4 A wicked and adulterous generation is asking for a sign? It will certainly not be given a sign — except the sign of Yonah!” With that he left them and went off.
The project provides for development of gas-condensate fields in the Nenets Autonomous Area, construction of the methanol plant with the capacity of 1,800 Ktpa based on the advanced processing equipment supplied by Franco-German company Air Liquide, a port terminal with access to the Northern Sea Route and various infrastructure facilities. Methanol will be produced from natural gas supplied from the Kumzhinsky and Korovinsky gas-condensate fields. The Strategy for Development of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation 2035 emphasized the importance of these fields for the energy balance of Russia.
24 Then Yeshua told his talmidim, “If anyone wants to come after me, let him say ‘No’ to himself, take up his execution-stake, and keep following me. 25 For whoever wants to save his own life will destroy it, but whoever destroys his life for my sake will find it. 26 What good will it do someone if he gains the whole world but forfeits his life? Or, what can a person give in exchange for his life? 27 For the Son of Man will come in his Father’s glory, with his angels; and then he will repay everyone according to his conduct. 28 Yes! I tell you that there are some people standing here who will not experience death until they see the Son of Man coming in his Kingdom!”
“Large-scale projects for development of the Arctic Zone are continuously monitored by the Russian Federation. VEB.RF’s comprehensive approach to developing the potential of gas chemical projects will make it possible to double polyethylene and LNG output by 2030 through funded projects, and to double methanol production through RusHim project. The contribution of these projects to achieving the goals of the industry strategy aimed at increasing the output by 2030 will be about 70% methanol, 45% LNG and about 30% polyethylene and carbamide. The project implementation will give an additional boost to development of the Arctic gas processing facilities and create new jobs in the Nenets Autonomous Area“, said Mr. Artyom Dovlatov, Deputy Chairman and Board Director of VEB.RF. “Advanced processing of gas with methanol production is not only one of the most promising areas for increasing Russian exports but a transition to a pollution-safer fuel. It is forecasted that development of other Russian projects for methanol plants construction in combination with the implementation of this gas chemical complex, will enable Russia to double its methanol exports reaching 8 mln. tones. A highly professional level of VTB’s expertise for supporting such projects enables development of the most optimal economic solutions that create new potential for development of individual cities and entire regions. One of VTB’s key priorities is to ensure preservation of vulnerable Arctic nature. Therefore, we anticipate implementation of the most advanced technologies,” emphasized Mr. Vitaly Sergeichuk, Senior Vice-president of VTB.
21 From that time on, Yeshua began making it clear to his talmidim that he had to go to Yerushalayim and endure much suffering at the hands of the elders, the head cohanim and the Torah-teachers; and that he had to be put to death; but that on the third day, he had to be raised to life. 22 Kefa took him aside and began rebuking him, “Heaven be merciful, Lord! By no means will this happen to you!” 23 But Yeshua turned his back on Kefa, saying, “Get behind me, Satan! You are an obstacle in my path, because your thinking is from a human perspective, not from God’s perspective!”
8 “You depart from God’s command and hold onto human tradition. 9 Indeed,” he said to them, “you have made a fine art of departing from God’s command in order to keep your tradition! 10 For Moshe said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ [b] and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’ [c] 11 But you say, ‘If someone says to his father or mother, “I have promised as a korban” ’ ” (that is, as a gift to God) “ ‘ “what I might have used to help you,” ’ 12 then you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother. 13 Thus, with your tradition which you had handed down to you, you nullify the Word of God! And you do other things like this.”
On the fringes of the Eastern Economic Forum, RUSHIM, the Ministry for Development of the Russian Far East, VEB.RF, Gazprombank and VTB Bank executed an agreement for cooperation on arranging funding for their gas chemical complex in the Nenets Autonomous Area of the Russian Arctic Zone.
7 The P’rushim and some of the Torah-teachers who had come from Yerushalayim gathered together with Yeshua 2 and saw that some of his talmidim ate with ritually unclean hands, that is, without doing n’tilat-yadayim. 3 (For the P’rushim, and indeed all the Judeans, holding fast to the Tradition of the Elders, do not eat unless they have given their hands a ceremonial washing. 4 Also, when they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they have rinsed their hands up to the wrist; and they adhere to many other traditions, such as washing cups, pots and bronze vessels.)
Rushim (Marathi: रुिशम, Oriya: ରୁଷିମ, Russian: Рушим) occurs in Indonesia more than any other country/territory. It may also be found as a variant:. Click here to see other potential spellings of this surname.
“We are happy to participate in a milestone gas chemical project which importance is highly valuable for the development of the Arctic Zone in general. Methanol production is one of the fastest growing industries capable of diversifying the Russian economy, and Gazprombank has quite a few such projects in its portfolio. Vertical integration, implementation of advanced technologies, and availability of RusHim’s own infrastructure are its key competitive advantages,» noted Mr. Alexey Belous, Deputy Chairman of Gazprombank Board.

31 Then he left the district of Tzor and went through Tzidon to Lake Kinneret and on to the region of the Ten Towns. 32 They brought him a man who was deaf and had a speech impediment and asked Yeshua to lay his hand on him. 33 Taking him off alone, away from the crowd, Yeshua put his fingers into the man’s ears, spat, and touched his tongue; 34 then, looking up to heaven, he gave a deep groan and said to him, “Hippatach!” (that is, “Be opened!”). 35 His ears were opened, his tongue was freed, and he began speaking clearly. 36 Yeshua ordered the people to tell no one; but the more he insisted, the more zealously they spread the news. 37 People were overcome with amazement. “Everything he does, he does well!” they said. “He even makes the deaf hear and the dumb speak!”
13 When Yeshua came into the territory around Caesarea Philippi, he asked his talmidim, “Who are people saying the Son of Man is?” 14 They said, “Well, some say Yochanan the Immerser, others Eliyahu, still others Yirmeyahu or one of the prophets.” 15 “But you,” he said to them, “who do you say I am?” 16 Shim‘on Kefa answered, “You are the Mashiach, the Son of the living God.” 17 “Shim‘on Bar-Yochanan,” Yeshua said to him, “how blessed you are! For no human being revealed this to you, no, it was my Father in heaven. 18 I also tell you this: you are Kefa,” [which means ‘Rock,’] “and on this rock I will build my Community, and the gates of Sh’ol will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you prohibit on earth will be prohibited in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.” 20 Then he warned the talmidim not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.
‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far away from me.
7 Their worship of me is useless,
because they teach man-made rules as if they were doctrines.’ [a]
17 When he had left the people and entered the house, his talmidim asked him about the parable. 18 He replied to them, “So you too are without understanding? Don’t you see that nothing going into a person from outside can make him unclean? 19 For it doesn’t go into his heart but into his stomach, and it passes out into the latrine.” (Thus he declared all foods ritually clean.) 20 “It is what comes out of a person,” he went on, “that makes him unclean. 21 For from within, out of a person’s heart, come forth wicked thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, 22 greed, malice, deceit, indecency, envy, slander, arrogance, foolishness…. 23 All these wicked things come from within, and they make a person unclean.”
5 The P’rushim and the Torah-teachers asked him, “Why don’t your talmidim live in accordance with the Tradition of the Elders, but instead eat with ritually unclean hands?” 6 Yeshua answered them, “Yesha‘yahu was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites — as it is written,
The total estimated cost of the project including the fields development amounts to 205 bln. rubles. The project is planned to be financed within the framework of the Project Financing Factory Program implemented by VEB.RF, the Russia’s national economic development institution.
