LGBT propaganda was banned in Russia: Putin signed the relevant law

For “propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations, pedophilia and gender reassignment” fines of up to 5 million rubles are introduced. And for violating the law, non-citizens of the Russian Federation are subject to expulsion from the country.

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a law banning the promotion of LGBT, pedophilia and gender reassignment in the country. A fine of up to 5 million rubles (over $80,000) is provided for violation of the ban among persons of any age. The document was published on the official portal of legal information.

Amendments were made to the law “On information, information technologies and information protection”, so the innovations will affect publications on the Internet, mass media, as well as books, audiovisual services, cinema and advertising. Previously, this legislative ban was approved by the State Duma and the Federation Council.

The law introduces responsibility for “propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations, pedophilia and gender reassignment” among persons of any age. Now the Federal Service for Supervision in the Field of Communications, Information Technologies and Mass Communications — Roskomnadzor — will be able to include resources engaged in LGBT propaganda in the single register of prohibited information for further blocking.

A mandatory fee is also being introduced. subscription and additional means of protecting access to content prohibited for children, and its promotional materials must necessarily have age marking. As for advertising, the requirements for it are expanded – it should not contain information that demonstrates “non-traditional sexual relations or preferences”.

Breach of the law is punishable by fines: for citizens – up to 400,000 rubles , for officials – up to 800,000 rubles, for legal entities – up to 5 million rubles or suspension of activity for a period of up to 90 days. For foreign citizens or persons without Russian citizenship, violation of this law is subject to expulsion from Russia.

Earlier it was reported that Russian propagandist Margarita Simonyan, who is one of the active fighters for traditional family values, spends huge fortunes on brands, created by the same Western representatives of the LGBT community, against which it actively opposes in Russia. In particular, her wardrobe includes dresses from the world-famous brand Dolce & Gabbana worth about 2,000 euros, in which she shamelessly appears on television.
